I am happy to meet you here. I need to help me to grow in (...)
I just turned 63 and have experienced the same stigma with cartwheels over the past year. I pride myself with staying in shape. I’m an advid weight lifter, unicycler, monkey bars and such. I’m male, 6′ and weigh a muscular 230. Well I am happy to report, I did 25 of them today on my dominate side. Fairly good ones too. It took me some time to again feel comfortable doing them and establishing more of a mental routine. I think the most difficult hurdle was the fear of damaging something. As a kid we have no fears, with age life teaches us to fear about everything. It took time, perserverence, and discipline but YES we can all do cartwheels again for the rest of our lives ! But I’m still working on my handstands and trying to achieve muscleups… 🙂 Never give up !
